Allergy Shots
Our nurses are available to give allergy injections by appointment. We will also store your serum in our refrigerator. Allergy shots cost $5 per visit.
You must hand-carry your serum, along with written instructions from your allergist or family doctor. We do not accept serum by mail.
You may find it helpful to send this letter (PDF) to your allergist or family doctor. It tells them what information we require in order to administer your shots. We cannot give you your shots if we do not have complete instructions from your doctor.
For scheduling appointments, please keep in mind that there are no allergy shot appointments available on Mondays or during the hours of 11 a.m.–noon, or 2:30–4:30 p.m.
Be sure to review the following before your first appointment.
- At your first appointment, the nurse will review your allergy treatment records.
- The first dose from any vial must be given at your allergist’s or family doctor’s office.
- Expect to remain in our office for 30 minutes after the shot, so we can watch for any reaction to the shot.
- If you need to reorder your extract, take or mail a copy of your current treatment record to your allergist.
