Thomas Trojian, MD
Assistant Clinical Director

Dr. Thomas Trojian is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. He graduated AOA from Howard University College of Medicine in 1993. He completed his residency at Highland Hospital in 1996. He was 4th year chief resident at Highland Hospital in 1996-1997. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at UPMC-Shadyside in 1998. He worked at University of Connecticut until 2014 then joining Drexel University as chief of the division of sports medicine and chief medical officer for Drexel Athletics. He has served as assistant clinical director for student health since August 2022. 

 

Michael Brown, MD
Staff Physician
Dr. Brown has been with Temple University Student Health Services since 2000. A Nebraska native, he earned an AB degree in biomedical ethics and a doctor of medicine degree from Brown University in Rhode Island. He completed a residency in family medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board certified in family medicine. Prior to joining Temple, Dr. Brown practiced in Minnesota and Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, and in Philadelphia.

Leslie Everts, MD
Staff Physician
Dr. Everts is a board-certified family physician. She graduated from Jefferson Medical College and completed her family medicine residency in Pittsburgh. Prior to coming to Temple, she was the medical director of Drexel University’s Student Health Services. She practiced general family medicine in the past and was a faculty member at family medicine residency programs in Delaware County and Atlanta, Georgia.

Nasreen Malik, MD
Staff Physician
Dr. Malik is board-certified family medicine physician. She graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1997. Her residency training was completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 2001. Since that time, Dr. Malik has been working as a physician in Philadelphia. She joined Temple University Student Health Services in 2005. She grew up locally and attended Villanova University as an undergraduate. She currently lives with her husband, three children and a Miniature Schnauzer in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

Dorrit Sterner, MD
Staff Physician
Dr. Dorrit Sterner has been with Temple University Student Health Services since 2000. She graduated from Temple University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine in Pennsylvania where she was chief resident in her third year. Dr. Sterner is board certified in internal medicine with special qualifications in geriatric medicine. Prior to joining Temple, Dr. Sterner was a Commissioned Officer in the USPHS, and served as clinical director of the Indian Health Services on the Navajo Reservation in Chinle, Arizona. She was also associate medical director of Ambulatory Health Services of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, medical director of the Philadelphia Prisons and medical director of Founders Medical Group, which served active duty and retired Philadelphia police and firefighters.

Nancy Andresen, MSN, CRNP
Staff Nurse Practitioner
Nancy Andresen, MSN, CRNP, has been employed at Temple University Student Health Services since 1996. She received a BS degree in nursing from Gwynedd Mercy University in 1980 and an MS degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. She has national certification as an adult nurse practitioner through the American Nursing Association Credentialing Center. Prior to coming to Student Health, she worked as a nurse practitioner in Temple University’s School of Medicine in general internal medicine. During this time, she was an adjunct faculty member in Temple University’s Adult Nurse Practitioner Graduate Nursing program. Prior to coming to Temple, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Employee/Occupational Health. Her early nursing career at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia included clinical nursing in a number of specialty units and nurse educator for nursing continuing education. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society for Nursing and the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners.

Sarah Sherr, CRNP
Staff Nurse Practitioner
Sarah Sherr is an adult nurse practitioner. She received her BS degree in nursing in 1998 and MS degree in nursing in 2001 from the University of Pennsylvania. She studied abroad in Oxford, England, for a semester while she was an undergraduate. She is member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing. She has worked at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in West Philadelphia and Wolfe-Simon Medical Associates in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She has worked at Temple University Student Health Services for more than 10 years. She is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
